I used the suggestion in the forum of the game - downloading a community fix, claiming it was legal to do so:

This is a method of file editing. Have you used this method in other games as well? Unfortunately, the AStats rules do not align with the unified achievement hunting ruleset, and causes many problems for hunters on most trackers. This method directly breaks https://achievementhunting.com/rules#na-3

OK, but I did not edit files myself. According to the forums on https://astats.astats.nl/astats/aforum/ ... p?tid=1080 the DLL file is a standard file used in many games though - so it might not even be edited by anyone but perhaps taken from a working game.

As i said, this is a method of file editing. Once i have looked through the rest of your games, this one will need to be relocked using SAR (a link can be found in the FAQs page). You can either do that now or wait for me to ask about other games if i find some.

Also, just to emphasize this, this isn't a judgmental process at all. We understand you're a long time achievement hunter, and this is just about catching up with your profile so we can determine what is or is not fair play by the rules.

although i am really not a fan of editing achievements with a 3rd party tool ..... i would rather just have that 1 game don't count. i relocked both because i didnt know which one it was and then re-achievement the 1 jump achievement.
anyway, it is done.

There is a lot for us to search through, so sorry for the delay. In the meantime, it appears you have a broken unlocked in counter strike source past the last available date this was possible, specifically the gift grab achievement. Do you remember how you got this?

Yes, with this method: OK-9: Changing your OS system clock to get Date-Specific achievements is allowed.
I don't konw if that stopped working but at my unlock date/timestamp , this definately still worked. I believe the year had to be correct for this to work (for those who havent achieved it yet, try year 2016.. or earlier I think...) - there were more games with this same achievement, I believe TF2, TF2 Beta, L4D2 as well and Counster Strike Source BETA as far as I remember.
I was on holiday during xmas and I think I got it right after.... or maybe even within the period to be honest.
The same might be true for a halloween achievements as well...

This method has never been possible with counter strike source, and has only been possible through the use of SAM or a file edited version of the game. We are going to have to deny this appeal unless you will be willing to work with us and be truthful. Coming clean will not create bad consequences for you, nor will there be anyone who judges you or means ill will towards you. Many people have gone through this process, and it is a chance to come clean and get a fresh start. This is nothing personal, just policy. If we have to deny your appeal, your will be publicly marked as a cheater on all tracker profiles.

Respectfully, I think you are mistaken.. this was defintely possible.
Maybe it requires a certain depot, I am not sure about that.

I did not come here to "come clean" --> I am already clean.
I only came to this site because somebody notified me that I was banned and I wanted to know who banned me and why - because I'm pretty sure that admin at that time did it because I found out that he had in fact cheated.

I would not advise you to mark me as a 'cheater' as I would be forced to prepare a lawsuit in such case.
