Hello 100pals,
I have found myself excluded from the steamhunters leaderboards earlier today upon pushing the update button and would like to become clean and applicable again.

I'm not 100% sure what i was flagged for or what happened but i will try to list down below whatever i did outside of the allowed rules applied as best as i can remember. Bare with me as i have completed several hundred easy games to 100% in the past 6 weeks.

Redactem:
I used a method described in the following guide to unlock 23/24 and only legitimately played through the final level

The Slug:
Achievement: Collect 30 lumps of mucus
I used leeson's method from the following post to unlock this broken achievement:

SQR 2:
I used mathematical brute forcing commited from memory to get the right combination for completing the incorrect equations, obtaining the "broken" achievements. I don't know which depot was in use during my playthrough. But this method worked and glitched the levels to completion.
Achievements: 2,6,7,8 and 9

PLAYERUNKN1WN: Friendly Fire:
I used a method, described in the following guide, to unlock 1 broken achievement from this game:

Spend one second in the game

I'm not sure if this is a violation of the rules but i'll list it anyways, in case it might be. To amass such a high amount of 100% games in those 6 weeks i preselected a long list of easy to complete and -idle achievements games and then combined effort by running multiple games at the same time, whenever the games would allow
getting achievements from inactive windows.

Yep, that's right, it's all explained in the FAQ one level up in the forum. Changing game code or using outside tools to "fix" a game is almost never allowed - a few specific game-by-game edge cases exist, but edge cases can't be extrapolated to more games. Make sense?

I guess so?... not sure. I did not fully understand what was written in that passage as i felt it leaving room for marginal interpretation.

I did just relock that 1 achievement with SAR.

I have not taken a look at any other games yet, but wanted to get back to you about those listed in your appeal while they are fresh in my mind.
1) Redactem: this is fine as it is because it is an in game cheat code. Here's the rule that allows this : https://100pals.co/rules#allowed2
2) The Slug: thanks for relocking that achievement after talking about it with Xeinok.
3) sqr 2: i need to get back to you on this one (i have no knowledge about this game). In the meantime, can you verify that i'm more or less understanding what it is you did to get those achievements? : You got the right combination needed for the incorrect equations while possibly in a version of the game where they worked?
4) PLAYERUNKN1WN: Friendly Fire: The broken achievement in this will need to be relocked, as that method is another form of file editing that is not approved. As annoying as that one broken is, it is just the rules.

I'll create another post later today once i have managed to actually go through your profile to see if there is anything else you may have missed, or something i'd just like to make sure of. Would rather have you explain a non-cheated game than get marked for it in the future.

Regarding:
3)More or less. I will try to explain, in detail what i did then, now. Maybe then it becomes a clearer picture.
The game is a number tile puzzler, where all the tiles from the outer rows and columns must be eliminated against the tiles in the inner rows and columns. However the numbers are prety much all a wrong match against eachother from the
get go and so you cannot solve them through mathematical approach. I went with bruteforce strategy instead and memorized the tiles and tested them against one another until a playthrough eventually matched them up so that the levels
finished. Another player, who also achieved to do this, recorded a video and uploaded it to his youtube.

The Depot mention was maybe unecessary, maybe not. I have not tried any other than the one given naturally at the time i installed the game, played it and unlocked those achievement.

I am, however, not proud of these achievements and would rather prefer to relock them aswell, since obtaining them through intended ways is impossible. Am i allowed to do that?

For sqr 2, that would be perfectly fine if you preferred to relock the broken achievements for that game. Thanks for relocking PLAYERUN1WN, i updated your trackers to make sure they would show it.

After going through your profile, i wanted to ask a couple of questions to be safe:
1) Batman Arkham Knight has a rather large cluster that wouldnt be normally seen
2)Sniper elite 3 has a medium sized cluster towards the latter half of the earned achievements
3) There's poop in my soup has a cluster with obtaining "x" scores that is generally not normal to see
4) resident evil 6 also has a medium sized cluster in it

Do you remember what might have happened with these games? Some of them were quite awhile back.

1)Mostly played in offline mode (PC not connected to the internet; also see *2) for more details as to why) for 100-150hrs or so?, Can't say for sure since offline time spent doesn't get counted towards the total recorded on steam either. I could shoot some screenies, if you like. Upon relaunching the game, with steam in online mode, all achievements earned during offline time, started unlocking at the same time (savegame not even loaded, i think).

Expect something similar to be found in my Kingdom Come: Deliverance achievement set, as i have played that one in offline mode (PC not connected to the internet) for over 200 hours and i earned more achievements in offline mode than my steam is currently showing. Though this game seems to have a different triggering mechanism. I recently picked it up again for participation in the summer sales quest tasks and killed 2 deer to unlock one of those achievements i already should've had unlocked and then "Hunter
Bag fifty game animals." unlocked. Same for "Serial Killer
Kill 200 people.", "Haggler Save 2000 Groschen by haggling.", upon executing corresponding activities. I can pull screenies, showing stats though, if necessary.
I think Assassin's Creed Odyssey has that same unlocking method, when you play in offline mode and then online again, and it is another of those candidates which i played offline for more than 250 hours. (During late september '18 until early January '19) Comparing my uplay achievements to my steam achievements will evidently prove this without doubt though.

2) Same thing as with Batman Arkham Knight. Comparing the days of unlocking, from the timestamps, you should notice that they are close to eachother (mid of Aug '17).
I moved to a new place and had no internet for around 2 1/2 months until the mid of August '17. I was prepared for that and actually planned to play a select number of titles during offline time and downloaded them beforehand. Those were: Batman Arkham Knight, Resident Evil 6, Sniper Elite v2 and Sniper Elite 3.

3) I have no idea about that. I just reinstalled and launched it and checked if i could get a score summary but it seems the game has no records for me to review at all. It is vanilla again. Maybe it only saves locally?, what if steam was d/c'd while playing the game and earning the 4 scores in question?
I could relock them if you want though. Pooping on ppl in that game was fun and i'd do it over again.

4) I don't remember much about this one, as it was so long ago. I perfected the achievement set on a savegame that i later erased though, just so i could do it all over again, being crazy for the game. I remember that i played through the DLC's with 1-2 friends, as we scheduled an effective and timesaving way to farm the tasks required to unlocking all achievements from Siege, Onslaught, Predator and Siege mode. But that was on the first save and the second savefile has long oversynced it through RE.NET and i do not have a copy of the 1st save file. As for the timestamps, yeah, they look really bad, but i have no idea what happened there.

Your answers are solid enough for me to say that those games are fine. Offline play is a common thing that we aren't able to tell unless we ask, and isn't against the rules at all. You've been extremely forthcoming and in depth with your explanations as well, which is a great help.

It is a tad late for me right now, so i'll get this marked as complete when i am back to my pc come morning. I'll go ahead and let the SH staff know that your profile is fine now so they can get that unmarked once they can.

With finishing this appeal, i'll be able to get you verified in the 100Pals server in the morning as well, since you joined. I wanted to ask if you intended to stay in there. It is not a requirement at all so if you only joined to have your appeal worked on it is fine if you would rather leave. However, we will gladly have you in there .
