Team Fortress 2 - I have gotten the four YouTube views achievements by using config file editing through a video guide a few years back, at the time I desperately wanted TF2 to be at 100% completion and not have broken achievements in the way. The rest of the game's achievements I have earned through farming, using the console for some like with the Rock Paper Scissors achievements, and playing the game regularly. I want to come off clean on what cheated achievements I am aware of, I should mention that I did not used any achievement tools like SAM. In regards to the Portal 2 achievements, they were earned at the same time by syncing my PS3 account to my Steam account, so whatever PS3 trophies I have earned at the time unlocked the same achievements on Steam. Thank you in advance for taking the time to look through my library and volunteering to give me a second chance. I will avoid using outside game trickery and stick within the confines of games in the future.

Hey Erick, thanks for creating an appeal about this. Can you explain how you used the console for the rock paper scissors achievements?

Similar to achievements like the PASS Time TV Room one, you can spawn in a bot to help you complete the two achievements as long as sv_cheats 1 isn't enabled or anything. I had to own the taunt in my inventory and there is still the RNG of it to worry about, though to my surprise I got both of them really quickly. Since the achievements weren't unlocked directly with the console (I don't think that is possible with TF2) and they still had to be obtained by their intended means, are those achievements valid? Or would I have to relock them and try to earn them with a legitimate player?

Ah, i had not realized that was something you could do in tf2. That'll be useful for me to know in the future, so thanks. All you will need to do is relock the youtube achievements with SAR (link can be found in the FAQs). After you do that, reopen the game to see if any of the youtube achievements automatically unlock again, and let me know if it works.

There's a huge amount of legal stuff you can do with the console in TF2, no worries there.

Just used SAR to relock the YouTube achievements, they did not unlock again when opening the game and I do not have that edited config file in my TF2 directory so opening the Replay page won't have the achievements unlock again by accident.
