Dear Achievement Hunters, Moderators and everyone reading this,

here comes my confession.


I started hunting achievements a few years ago until I stopped for like a year because of school. Then Covid-19 started and I got back into it, let's say a bit deeper then before. I saw my Steam Profile showcase and thought my avg. completion rate was horrible compared to people like Xeinok. This is when I decided to get my Avg. Completion Rate as high as possible so it looks cool. So I went sorting my Library to all games I have started but not 100%ed and started grinding.
A few games in I stumbled upon some games with broken achievements as well as unbelievably bad and boring games. Long story short, I started using save files and SAM to get my Avg. Completion Rate to a very high level which got me banned on Astats.
First I didn't really care because my Avg. Completion Rate was impressive now, right? But now I have huge regrets because I took Achievement Hunting pretty serious and paid several 100 Bucks in it.
With that being said, my stats on all achievement trackers as well as steam is wrong and not my real accomplishment.

This is why I decided to pull out SAM for the very last time and started locking back all my achievements I got using cheats, save files and SAM.

Here is my List of games I resetted my cheated achievements with quick explanations:


- Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game)

- Amnesia: A Dark Descent (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game)

- Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game) (Used the Bomb in top left corner of SAM to reset the entire game because simply unchecking cheated achievements didn't work)

- Blink the Bulb (used SAM to obtain former broken achievements)

- Blue Snake Adventures (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game)

- Botology (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game) (Used the Bomb in top left corner of SAM to reset the entire game because simply unchecking cheated achievements didn't work)

- Cell HD: emergence (used SAM to obtain the broken achievement)

- Centauri Sector (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game)

- Clicker Heroes (used a save file manager to obtain all achievements) (Used the Bomb in top left corner of SAM to reset the entire game because when starting the game again all achievements would unlock anyway (so I got rid of the save file))

- Cyber Sentinel (used SAM to obtain the last two online-publishing achievements since they seemed to not unlock whatsoever)

- Drayt Empire (used SAM for missing achievements because I got softlocked after 3 hours of playing and I didn't like the game enough for a second playthrough)

- Eared Hero (used SAM to obtain broken achievements)

- Egg Time (used SAM to obtain all 4 achievements because this game is something else and I didn't like it)

- Final Quest II (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game)

- Hell Survive (used SAM for the last achievement because it didn't unlock after completing the objective twice (so it seemed broken))

- Hotline Miami (first used a save file which should get me to 100% but had to unlock the last achievements with SAM) (Used the Bomb in top left corner of SAM to reset the entire game because when starting the game again all achievements would unlock anyway (so I got rid of the save file))

- INK (used SAM for missing achievements because it seemed to be too much effort and I didn't liked the game that much)

- Learn to Fly 3 (used SAM to obtain the very last achievement. I tried really hard to get this legit but then run out of boosts and boosts either cost real money or a very lot of playtime. Kinda sad I cheated here, this game is amazing.)

- One Finger Death Punch (first used a save file which should get me to 100% but had to unlock the last achievements with SAM) (Used the Bomb in top left corner of SAM to reset the entire game because when starting the game again all achievements would unlock anyway (so I got rid of the save file))

- PickCrafter (used SAM to obtain the missing achievements. I am really sad about this one as well because I got so far legit but in engame the transcensions were tedious as hell so I tried loading a save file but the anti-cheat got me and I lost all my progress which then made me use SAM for the final 13 achievements)

- Ruthless Safari (used SAM for the 100km achievement because I literally died at like 95 and the game is boring so I didn't bother going for it again.)

- Save Jesus (used SAM to get all "complete 50 levels with [...]" achievements because it would took 7 playthroughs and i didn't liked the game that much)

- Shower with your Dad Simulator (used SAM for broken achievements)

- Tap Tap Infinity (used a save file to obtain every achievement within a minute) (Used the Bomb in top left corner of SAM to reset the entire game because when starting the game again all achievements would unlock anyway (so I got rid of the save file))

- Tinboy (used SAM for missing achievements because I didn't like the game)

- Trine 2 (first used a save file which should get me to 100% but had to unlock the last achievements with SAM) (Used the Bomb in top left corner of SAM to reset the entire game because when starting the game again all achievements would unlock anyway (so I got rid of the save file))

- Unturned (used SAM to catch up witch achievements I didn't wanted to to or seemed to stressful like "kill 100 players")

- VVVVVV (used save file manipulation to obtain every achievement)

- ZAP Master (SAMed the only one achievement which unlocks upon starting the game but the time I tried this, the achievement was broken. It's fixed now so I probably got that game back to perfect when this is getting read. But I still removed the cheevo with SAM and obtained it back legit)



This is it. In this List is every single Game I've cheated in. To get my work here clear: I've not resetted every single achievement from every single game I've cheated in because there were still many cheevos I got legit. I've used completionist.me to see the most recent unlocked achievements of the specific games and with using the timestamps I was able to recreate my achievement progress before SAM.
Let me know if you still find achievements that were suspicous.


SAM has been used to lock every achievement I cheated before and for resetting entire Saves.

Every Games has been started once after resetting so steam tracking refreshes and so I could make sure the save file related achievements didn't unlocked on startup.
Every Game mentioned in this article has been refreshed on completionist.me for tracking purposes.


I would love to be a legit Achievement Hunter. On Steam I am now but I also would love to participate in hunting related Leaderboards and Point-Systems.

I truly apologize for every Hundo I've cheated.

Hey Penturexx, thanks for creating an appeal about this. With you having a fair amount of games worked on, this may take more time than usual. We'll definitely help to fix your account and spend the necessary time working on it . I'm going to go through the games you currently have 100%ed, and then go through the games you have listed here to make sure nothing was missed. The more games the easier it is to miss something haha. Apologies for any delay!

Looking over your games, i have some others to ask about:

-Keep talking and nobody explodes has a cluster of achievements not normally seen
-Geometry dash has all of the achievements unlocked together
-Akda has a similar large cluster that is not normally seen
-Star sweet has unlocks in large clusters that do not seem to match very well, nor with general playtime
-Zombie boom, Fiends of Imprisonment, cyborg detonator, and beast blaster also appear to have a lot of cheated achievements, either from SAM or file editing

Do you remember what might have happened with these?

- Keep talking and nobody explodes truly was completed using a save file but only for the achievements unlocked on 29th of May. Forgot about that one, that's true, I'll remove these achievements asap
- As for geometry dash I played this game on mobile before I got my first Computer back then, which then led me to get geometry dash as my first ever steam game in 2015. Ported my account data to my PC which included every achievement. You can see geometry dash as my first ever perfect game in 2015 here https://completionist.me/steam/profile/ ... 06/history I also played this game for more than 2700h, there is no way I cheated this one
- On Akda you can see that the achievements unlock like that normally, u can see Xeinok as example here https://completionist.me/steam/profile/ ... app/761630
- On star sweet I remember modifying my save file in my registry to insta-complete all levels that were left. I'll remove every achievement which was unlocked on 2020-07-07 02:32:24 and 2020-07-08 01:03:05 as well as "level 99 complete", "level 198 complete" and "level 297 complete". As for the other achievements which unlocked simultaneously: In this game you complete a bunch of levels in a row and unlock achievements for these levels when going to main menu (similar patterns can be seen here: https://completionist.me/steam/profile/ ... app/760350 )
- Saw all the last mentioned games and achievements recently as well because I saw there were marked on Steam Hunters as invalid. These games have broken achievements but can be obtained by replacing the .exe in the gamesfolder with an other game by the game developer. I am not sure if this is against the rules directly but I'll remove all the broken achievemnts of the games that were mentioned here

I had assumed as much for geometry dash, that's a rather common thing people will do for that, just needed to ask! And you are right for Akda, not sure how I missed that XD, so thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for relocking keep talking and nobody explodes, star sweet, Zombie boom, Fiends of Imprisonment, cyborg detonator, and beast blaster. These last 4 games do have those community fixes made for them, but using them does cause your profile to be banned on pretty much every tracker besides AStats. Anything using the unified achievement hunting ruleset doesn't allow these types of fixes, but luckily it's a very easy fix. I've got some more games I want to check out with the other staff before marking this as complete, just due to some lack of knowledge on my end.

Keyboard Killers seems to be done rather quickly as well, do you remember what might have happened with that?

can't remember cheating here but I remember using several macros since the levels are the same every time. I've used the most efficient level which makes up to 10 000 kills in about a minute or so
