Thank you for writing to me on discord.

If not, I would probably never have known about this, so I'm happy to be part of this community.

First of all, I never made any file editing, as one would assume seeing me unlocking this achievement.
Knowing something is not allowed, is something I would never do. All I did was joining a server, because I heard some groups announcing, that now it's possible to unlock the gift grab achievement in css on a server.
Saw many friends unlock that achievement in the steam friend activity feed. If I remember correctly, I read about this in the 100pAG group, that someone found a way using a plugin, that replicates the Gift Grab event from 2011, that Valve had for the game.

Hey Major König, thank you for creating an appeal about this. It was decided that the linked method is not allowed and violates rule NA-3 (https://achievementhunting.com/rules#na-3). Additionally, please note that we are not affiliated with 100pAG and are not automatically allowing approved fixes from Astats, which this method falls under. In light of this, you will have to use SAR with the help of this guide (https://achievementhunting.com/guides/relock) to relock the corresponding achievement in order to be revalidated again on the trackers. Once you have done that, please reopen the game to make sure that the achievement does not automatically unlock on startup and let me know.

I just did every step as instructed and re-locked the Gift Grab achievement.
I also assured it didn't unlock by starting the game twice, while cloud save was unchecked.

I however could not find the local save location, also checked in the registry files, nothing and https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home did not mention any.

Hi again,

Was checking my profile on https://completionist.me/ and noticed, that Counter-Strike: Source now is under 'previous completed games', is it possible for you to change it, so it's not - as in never completed ?

I am glad that the relocking worked without any problems with that I will go ahead and revalidate the game and your profile. Sadly we cannot change that on completionist.me and the game will stay under "previous completed games" because it technically was completed before, even if that included a not allowed method. Let us know if there are any other issues in the future
