Hello, So ive had my account on steam since 2010, and i was very young when i recieved this account as a gift. Without beating around the bush, i used the SAM to unlock multiple games' achievements.

I havent removed these fraudulent achievements yet because i had been quite nervous about using the SAM again on my main account. So they are still there to view when you review this post. It was two times across these games, 2011, and 2013 that i used the SAM to complete them. TF2 is nearly all SAM'd, and counter strike, a.v.a and garry's mod ARE completely SAM'd. As someone who takes pride in his legitimate achievements i wish for these to finally be removed correctly, as i dont see it appropriate to maintain them and effect the percentage disproportionately. Perhaps also to be able to reclaim some type of leaderboard standing on the website. Theres no trust in my achievements while they are there, and it feels like garbage. Please take this post as apology to those who worked legitimately for their discontinued a.v.a achievements, and to the achievement hunting community for my young ignorant decisions.

Hey CrunchyDrink, thanks for creating an appeal about this. If it helps any, we have a different program for you to use called SAR ( a link can be found in our Achievement Leaderboard Bans & Appeals FAQs in the forums) to relock these. It is essentially SAM, but without the ability to unlock achievements. Once you are able to, go ahead and use SAR to relock these achievements, please. After you are done, please reopen each game to make sure nothing automatically unlocks on startup. For tf2, you may have to fully reset the statistics in the game as well. There is a menu in the game for that.

Hello! thanks for replying! So this all sounds pretty good to me. I have no problem resetting tf2, so ill start with that and just wipe the other games with this program you mentioned. Ill report back here once I have them all

Okay! So i did what you said, I used the program to relock all of TF2, A.V.A, Counter Strike: Source, and Garry's Mod. I restarted all i could, as A.V.A has been removed so i couldnt launch it. Regardless no achievements re popped. My achievement showcase still shows theyre 100% but you should find that all the achievements in question are gone now. Let me know if anything else is needed!

Once you obtain any new achievement, your showcase should update to show the proper amount. It's weird like that haha. With having relocked these, you should be good to go! I'll go ahead and get your profile revalidated on any trackers you are currently banned on. If any other issues pop up for you in the future, feel free to let us know and we'll be happy to help!
