I cheated and unlocked the online character creation using Steam Achievement manager as since the servers were turned off I was unable to get the achievement

I also at some point used Steam Achievement manager to unlock an achievement or 2 in games that were achievement spam garbage that to my knowledge have long since been removed from steam.
I just want to try and get back into good standing as I recently got back into retroachievements and want to have as clean a slate as I can.

These are the ones I remember for certain. I do not believe I cheated anymore but my memory is foggy so I just want to do what I can to get back on the straight and narrow. Thanks for taking the time out to deal with my stupid past cheating.

I have checked with a few systems and a mod and have seen that
LoadOut
Cranium Conundrum
Killing floor
are all also marked as invalidated
I assume that loadout and cranium conundrum were popped from running Archis Steam Farm Idling software back when I needed the money from the cards
As for Killing Floor I remember when that achievement popped and having no idea what I had done.
Hopefully I havent missed any others and am able to get back onto the straight and narrow

Hey Flashfire, thanks for creating an appeal about this. For any achievements unlocked through SAM use, please go ahead and relock these. That should include Saints Row 3, and likely the same as loadout and cranium due to the timing of the unlocks. Once you had done that, go ahead and reopen each game to make sure nothing automatically unlocks on startup that should not.

Unfortunately I do not remember what other achievement spam games I may have used it on if any. What tool do I use to lock the achievements I unlocked using SAM and do I need to relock all of them or just the ones I used SAM on?

Never mind I found it I will lock the ones I am sure or am pretty sure were unlocked using SAM

This error occurs when I try and reset everything for Cranium Conundrum, Loadout reset everything and nothing popped again. Everything else I was able to relock successfully.

Which other games did you end up relocking that were not listed on this? And either SAM or SAR ( a link can be found in our FAQs) can be used to relock these.

For cranium conundrum, we can do 1 of 3 possible things.
1) You can try deleting any relevant save date in local, cloud, or etc saves the game may have.
2) If the above does not work, you can try to see if there is a registry file for this game. It would likely be under Falling Star Games, or Sometimes You under the Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE area. If there is, try to delete the entire folder.
3) If you do not want to possibly waste time if neither of the above end up working, we may just have to permanently invalidate Cranium Conundrum because of this weird issue. It happens occasionally with other people and other games, so it would not be a major problem for your profile.

I relocked the achievements I cheated in for Saints Row The Third as well as the killing floor Axe achievement. Would Permanently invalidating cranium conundrum affect my tracking progress on any other achievement sites? I also locked everything for Loadout and had the problem with Cranium Conundrum.

Invalidating cranium conundrum would not affect progress on other sites With that, I believe you are good to go! If any other issues pop up for you in the future please let us know and we will be happy to help!
